Delicious Veggie Pizza Christmas Trees

These delicious Veggie Pizza Christmas Trees look as good as their cookie counterparts and are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

This is a wonderful alternative for sugary desserts and treats this holiday season- perfect for parties, school snacks, or just a fun appetizer!  The crescent bottom is the perfect canvas for a spray of colorful veggies!

These are officially endorsed by 4 of my 5 family members…and cautiously tolerated by one child.  :)  Honestly, I don’t understand how someone could not like this amazing way to eat vegetables!

Crescent Dough Sheet

1. Roll out the dough sheet.

2.  Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut out the pieces of dough.  You can use a rolling pin to roll out the remnants to create more trees, but they will have a different shape once they have been re-rolled (they seem to be puffier and a slightly different texture once baked).

3.  Place the trees on a cookie sheet and place them in a preheated oven at 375 degrees.

4.  Bake 12-15 minutes, or until the trees are golden.  I cooked mine slightly longer so that they were a bit crispier than normal crescents.  Let sit until cooled.

5.  Gather your supplies for the “frosting”.  :)  I was making this up as I was going along, so I started with 4 ounces of cream cheese and a handful or two of spinach…

6.  Put the ingredients in a food processor or blender.  We love our Ninja!

I quickly realized that I needed to add something more “liquidy” to get the right consistency…

7.  Add a tablespoon of sour cream and a teaspoon of dry ranch dressing/dip mix.  Add more sour cream as needed to get the right texture and add more ranch dressing to taste.

Ahh…that’s better.  A creamy consistency is what I was going for.

8.  Spread the frosting cream cheese mixture on top of the cooled Christmas trees.

9.  Finely dice some veggies.  I used a red bell pepper, a carrot, and an onion.
